Its Tip’s and Trick’s Thursday! This is more of a tip and trick for myself than anyone else. Lately I have been noticing how much time I spend on my face skin care and how little time I spend on my body skin care. Sometimes if I feel dry I will throw some lotion on but I am not diligent about really taking care of my skin (body care). Because of this, for the next few weeks of Tip’s and Trick’s I thought I would look into D.I.Y and home body care! This means spending as little money as possible and only putting natural good things on my body! Anybody with me??
For this first step I want to do a scrub! I have been searching for something to do with my left over k-cup coffee grounds. I throw them out every day and always think “I could really be slathering these on my body right now”. A scrub I have wanted to try is;
Franks Original Coffee Scrub is this good-for-you scrub that you use in the shower to help keep your skin healthy! It helps with cellulite too!
Because we all know the benefits that caffeine gives to your skin I thought why not just try this out at home! An easy-peasy recipe is coffee grounds and an oil of your choice. I like the idea of coconut oil but you can also use olive oil. Mix it up in a container or even your k-cup, bring it to the shower and slather! Try putting your used k-cup in the fridge the day before use as it will let some of the moisture escape from the used coffee grounds.
Once you get into the habit of this (1-3 times a week) you can start adding other oils like Argon oil or some nice essential oils like lavender. The world is your oyster! or rather, your kitchen and medicine cabinet.
I promise I will be diligent in doing this and I will update everyone next week on how its working! Thats one step down and, however many more it takes to make me look beautiful to go 😉 Happy scrubing!
